I've been putting a lot of effort into keeping my little potted garden alive over the past few months, and the importance of pruning has been quite a revelation. I'm proud to say my lavender is still thriving thanks in part to its recent winter trim. The cuttings smell so good it seems a shame to throw them away, so I like to turn them into little aromatherapy sachets using scraps of fabric from past sewing projects. The leaves aren't dried so the pouch will only last about a week, but they do give off a lovely fresh fragrance tucked into the folds of your favourite sleeping pillow.
